Sohvi Päällysaho

Sohvi completed her professional dance training in Finland at the national institution for ballet and dance while also pursuing academic studies, achieving the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB). Throughout her training, she gained extensive stage experience and achieved success as both a soloist and a company member in various stage productions and international dance competitions.

In 2020, she was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dance’s Bachelor’s in Dance Teaching program in London, where she graduated with Honors. Sohvi gained valuable experience teaching students of all ages at prestigious dance schools in London, where she not only created performance choreography but also managed school administration.

After joining the team at the Ballet Academy of Luzern, Sohvi established herself as a talented coach and educator, successfully leading international and national competition dance teams to success and helping her students achieve top results in RAD assessment examinations.
As a gifted choreographer, she has created numerous works across ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance styles for stage performances and competitions, including well-known productions such as The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Swan Lake, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, and various musical galas.

Sohvi remains at the forefront of modern dance pedagogy through her ongoing participation in courses and seminars at the Royal Academy of Dance. She is a highly respected colleague and teacher at the Ballet Academy of Luzern, where she inspires her students with her love and passion for dance.
