Maria Moretti

Maria Moretti is a dedicated dance educator and choreographer whose expertise and passion for contemporary dance and ballet have made her an integral part of the Ballet Academy team since 2020. With a solid foundation built through rigorous training in ballet and modern jazz at Danzarea and professional experience dancing with NEUER TANZ under the direction of VA Wölfl in Düsseldorf, Maria’s artistic journey reflects a commitment to technical mastery and creative expression.

Maria holds a Master’s in Dance Pedagogy from the prestigious Palucca University of Dance in Germany and a Bachelor’s in Dance from Folkwang University of the Arts. Her teaching approach is enriched by her international experience at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon, where she broadened her contemporary repertoire and pedagogical skills. Her Pilates training from the Akademie für Sport und Gesundheit further supports her holistic approach to dance instruction, emphasizing strength, flexibility, and alignment.

In addition to her teaching, Maria’s performance credits include roles in acclaimed productions such as o.T, BALLETTRE, von mit nach t: No2, RhEIN NEUER TANZ, and Gala da Mozart a Verdi at Teatro Verdi Busseto, where she performed a solo of her own choreography. Her beautiful choreographic works, created for the stage productions of the Ballet Academy Luzern and the Swiss International Youth Dance Company, have captivated audiences and enriched each performance.

With her innovative, integrative, and student-focused teaching techniques, her deep knowledge of contemporary dance, and her dedication to fostering each student’s potential, Maria enriches the learning experience and creates an inspiring environment that brings out the individual strengths and abilities of dancers of all ages and levels.
